$15 is quite pricey for a game like Morrowind on Steam. With all that being said, I'm sure I'd still cave in and at some point eventually, pick up Hunter: The Reckoning because I enjoyed the game so I think in markets and platforms where some of these games have always been available (PC) you are absolutely right. There are a lot of things I think are pricey, but I still pay until it reaches that level where I'm unwilling to put up the money.

And just because someone thinks something is a bit pricey, doesn't mean they won't pay. Of course, perceived value is always subjective, and everyone's mileage may vary on what they think is reasonable price-wise. But I'd bet if I priced those games digitally for $5-$10, I'm sure I'd sell way more copies, than priced at $15, leaving those that sell over-priced physical copies in the dust.Įxcluding graphics, there are some meatier games that do more for a cheaper price, which is how I'm basing my comparison. Yes, nobody asked for the backwards compatibility, but also no money was made because it didn't exist for money to be made anyhow. I don't care if it's hard to find, unplayable on modern consoles, and price gouged for a used copy at mom-n-pop shops.

In the case of my statement, I wasn't complaining, but mostly just saying I think $15 for a game that old is a bit pricey, in my opinion.
