In my experience, Crashplan is the crappiest product I've ever come across that for some reason is paradoxically wildly popular. They'll let you upload and download as fast as you want, as much as you want, because the more you transfer and store, the more revenue they generate. With B2, S3, and GCS, you pay for exactly what you use, so they don't throttle or choke you after X$ TBs of transfer. They are counting on most customers only using a fraction of what they pay for. The reason you get syncing problems with those services is you pay for X$ TB of storage, or even unlimited storage with the shadier services, but they obviously can't fulfill that for every customer. You shouldn't be facing any syncing issues like you would with consumer grade storage like Crashplan or Dropbox.

It worked damned well, since it's a pro solution (real pro, as in something an enterprise can rely on, not Crashplan or MacBook "Pro"). It's not quite object storage, but it's better than consumer grade backup storage.

* Currently, I'm running Docker and have a container for CrashPlan Pro (CPP). I'm an Apple guy and my device backups all end up on the Synology in the end.
* All of the devices in my house back up to the Synology. * I have a Synology NAS DS418play with 4x1TB drives in it.
